The truth is it is unwise and illogical to claim the Qur’an has provided medicine for every disease, including coronavirus. The most suitable thing is to use everything in its appropriate context.
The Qur’an is only holy to the Muslims and it contains laws, anecdotes, and sermons but it is not a book of science. The holiness of the Qur’an is only for Muslims and majority of people around the world have never read it.
If we are to believe this book is a book of science, did Jonas Salk use the holy book to invent the polio vaccine? Did Albert Einstein ever refer to the Qur’an in his discovery? If he did, then why is it that the Muslims did not event the Theory of Relativity until he did? Did Not Joy Bill ever use the Holy Qur’an to invent UNIX operating system?
Bill Gates who invented Microsoft, Nikola Tesla who helped bring electricity and many other inventions to the world and so many scientists like Issac Newtown, Nicolaus Copernicus, Stephen Hawkins, Neil deGrass Tyson and Thomas Edison who brought many technologies particularly electric light bulbs. However all of these inventors never read the Qur’an.
Unlike in the past during which Muslims were instrumental in astronomy, geometry, mathematics and many more theories, contemporary Muslims are far left behind in science and technology.
Whenever there is breakthrough in scientific research, some fanatics are ready to claim that the findings have already been in the Holy Qur’an.
I laughed while reading a post by one guy who claimed there is a cure for Coronavirus in the Qur’an. You don’t need to lie to tell the world how genuine the Qur’an is. Using the book as a justification for spreading fake news is a great disservice to Islam.
We witnessed various pandemic like Black Death, Small Pox pandemic, Polio, Spanish Flu in the past, but all the breakthroughs made in eradicating the pandemics were made by non Muslims, some of them do not even believe in the existence of God. The most useful thing for both of us is not to delude the gullible for gullibility is rampant in every religion.
The recent one is being made by Hindu fanatics who claim drinking cow urine is a prevention against Coronavirus.
