Nigerian internet sensations, Ikorodu Bois have received film production from American media services provider, Netflix.
The Ikorodu Bois which consist of brothers, Muiz, 15, and Malik, 10, and their cousin, Fawas Aina 13 are popular for re-making multi-million videos by using everyday materials in style.
They have done the remake of video post by Nigerian entertainers such as AY Makun, Davido, DJ Cuppy, Zlatan Ibile, and so on. They have also done masterclass remake of movie trailers such as ‘Money Heist‘ and ‘Extraction’ by Chris Hemsworth.
They caught the eye globally when they received an invitation by the Russo Brothers to the global premiere of their upcoming sequel, ‘Extraction 2′.
The skit-making trio has now received film making equipment such as Laptops presented by film-maker, Kunle Afolayan, on behalf of Netflix. The award-winning film-maker also awarded the boys a scholarship at his film production company, KAP film and television academy as well as an offer to mentor them in filmmaking.
The Ikorodu Bois has since taken to their Instagram page to show appreciation for the gift received. They wrote ”Netflix!!! Thank youuuuu!! @netflixfilm you guys are amazing, we’ve received the gift, we love it!”
