Idris Elba’s wife have joined the list of celebrities to have tested positive for covid-19. British actor, Idris Elba contracted the covid-19 last week and he broke the news via a video on his Twitter page with his wife, Sabrina Dhowre featured. Many saw it coming that the wife who is very close to Idris will soon contract the disease and now she has been tested positive.
Sabrina Dhowre got married to Idris Elba a year ago and having shared love with her hubby, have also shared the covid-19. Idris Elba’s wife told Oprah she has tested positive for covid-19 as she couldn’t distance herself from her husband.
She said ‘’I could have made a decision to put myself in a separate room or maybe stay away…But I made the decision to want to be with him and still touch him’’
‘’I wanted to be with him. That’s the instinct of a wife. You want to go and take care’’
Many social media users have since bantered Idris Elba’s wife for staying close in this period of social distancing. Her case has been compared with that of the Biblical Ruth who stayed with husband even after death.
Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, Burna Boy have sent love to the British actor and every other people affected by the scourge. In his tweet @burnaboy: ‘’Sending love to my bro @idriselba and everyone affected in these uncertain times’’
Idris Elba has since replied ‘’Love to you my brother…We will all beat this’’
