IBB, short for Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, a former military Head of State, has listed some of the qualities expected from the next 2023 presidential candidate.
Babangida stated that on pertinent issues regarding the nation’s state, it would require a president that commands good communication skills and would address matters bordering the country appropriately.
He said the next leader should engage people on any issues concerning the country’s development. He further proposed that a young person should be the best candidate and not old as his generation.
The former military leader noted that such a person vying for a position as sensitive as that of a president must walk into a group of people and talk to them on issues concerning Nigeria occasionally.
He said such a leader must have trustworthy individuals across every part of the country, even if it’s not a tall order. He said it could be limited to states, local governments areas, and even to the wards if possible.
