A video has emerged in which some persons mostly youths are seen forcefully carting away the contents of a pick-up that was carrying foods items.
The incident had reportedly taken place at Dala Local Government Area of Kano State.
Some analysts have attributed the sad incident as the consequence of ongoing lockdown without giving adequate palliatives to the masses by the government.
Prior to the lockdown, Nigerian citizens are mostly poor; living from hand to mouth. Oxfam International has in 2019 disclosed that Nigeria is the “World Capital of Poverty” with no fewer than 94,470,535 million people in the country living below extreme poverty line.
Also, World Bank has disclosed in a new report that Northern Nigeria accounted for 87 per cent of all the poor people in Nigeria in 2016.
