The federal government has announced 3 Million naira as the grand prize for any Nigerian who can create a new brand identity about forthcoming Nigeria’s 60th anniversary.
According to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, the first and second runner will receive the sum of 1.5 Million and 1 Million naira respectively.
The Minister said the entire event except for the demo day will be done remotely via an online portal as part of the efforts to make Nigeria a digital economy and in line with the current Covid19 crisis.
He added that the process will ensure safer, faster, transparent and more effective execution.

Also, it was gathered that the best concepts from each category of the challenge will be selected by a mixture of several assessment criteria including a jury.
The schedule that was announced by the federal government shows that the submission of applications will be launched on September 5 while applications will close on 15th September 2020.
The portal for best logo voting will close on 5th September 2020, finalists will be selected on September 20th while October 1 has been set as the Presentation Day.
Pantami said the challenge is aimed at harnessing the power of Nigeria’s creative minds adding that the top three finalists will present their work to His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said the new brand must be impactful both at the national level postering unity and at international level improving the positive impression of the country.
