Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, has listed some names he believes are sponsoring banditry and kidnappings in the state.
The Governor, after series of considerations, carefully named those he strongly is of the opinion that they are causing unrest in the region for political reasons.
He named the former Governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, as one of the financiers of kidnappings and terrorism, including his son-in-law, Mr Uche Nwosu, allegedly responsible for fueling Banditry in Imo State.
Uzodimma made the accusations through a statement prepared by his chief press secretary, Mr Oguwike Nwachuku, yesterday in Imo.
The incumbent Governor argued that both parties are the brains behind banditry and kidnappings, adding that he statement is for the avoidance of doubt.
Uzodinma claimed that Okorocha, now senator representing Imo West District and Nwosu, who served as his chief of staff when he was governor, were “bent on using both overt and covert means to blackmail the police high command, which legitimately arrested Uche Nwosu.”
