Some unidentified gunmen created heavy mayhem in Zaria Local Government Area, LGA, as they successively attacked and caused residents to flee their homes.
The report further revealed that the bandits killed a man named Alhaji Abdullahi Ardo during their invasion at Dorayi village of Dutsen Abba ward in Zaria.
They also kidnapped his fifteen-year-old daughter, as a witness revealed that armed men invaded the village around 2:am and went straight to the deceased house, where they gained access to his family.
Witness Narrates Gunmen Attack
The witness who spoke under anonymity, said, “From there, they went away without a further attack on any house or person. We feel they purposely came to pick Alhaji Ardo, and when they attempted, he might have posed some resistance, that’s why they shot him and then abducted his daughter.”
It would be noted that Dory village witnessed several bandits’ attacks in the recent past, with many people being abducted, including the village head.
It is the same village where some soldiers and a vigilante were arrested while on their way to collect ransom for the village head.
