The Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum has reacted to the reports making the round over an alleged fresh attack on his convoy by Boko Haram insurgents.
Governor Zulum, who debunked the reports in a statement issued by his spokesman, Isa Gusau said his convoy was not attacked.
According to Gusau, Governor Zulum travelled to Baga and returned to Maiduguri safely without any incident. He added that Zulum was in Baga to supervise the distribution of food and other relief materials to 5,000 residents in the area.
He stressed that the Governor was neither attacked nor was any component of his convoy attacked by anyone.
However, Gusau advised any media organization that wants further clarification over the report to contact the Nigerian military.
