The teenage student of Community Secondary School, Ikot Ewa, Rivers State, caught with a locally made gun she intended to use on her teacher has confessed and revealed some heartbreaking secrets.
The young girl who was said to have taken a gun to school to deal with her teacher who asked her to cut her coloured hair has now revealed that she belongs to Sky Queen Confraternity.
According to the suspect’s confession, while she was being paraded along with other suspected criminals at the Rivers State Police Headquarters for unlawful possession of firearms, she got the gun from her man friend.
She was paraded with one Okon Effiom Edet who also revealed that the teenager is his partner and has been sleeping with her since 2020.
It was more heartbreaking when the girl added that her mother is aware of her affairs with the man and he helps the family financially.
“My mother knows about him because he visits me at our house, and sometimes he sleeps over at my place because I have my own room then in the morning he goes back to his own house,”
The story was also corroborated by Okon, who stressed that though he is married, the girl’s mother is aware of his relationship with her daughter.

” I am a married man with six children, I did not give her the gun, she took it herself where I kept it under the bed. I started sleeping with her August last year, her mother knows me, I have been doing small something on her head, they know she is my wife,”
However, help might be on the way for the girl as the Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade on Education, Castro Ezama claimed the government would ensure that the teenager is well rehabilitated.
The state commissioner of police, Sikiru Akande, urged parents to know more about their children, especially their friends.
