Dancehall Star Shatta Wale has been shot by yet to be identified, gunmen. He was shot at East Legon yesterday evening, leaving him in a critical condition.
Shatta Wale is said to have been admitted to an emergency unit of a hospital in Accra after the incident.
Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr is a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist, popularly known as Shatta Wale formerly Bandana.
However, his assistant, Nana Dope confirmed this on his Snapchat and asks Ghanaians including everyone to keep Shatta Wale in their prayers. He also pleaded with the public, that videos of the singer in a pool of his blood shouldn’t be circulated on social media.
He wrote;
“Please those circulating the video should kindly stop!! I believe the king is gonna come out alive and okay!!! keep him in your prayers! they can never bring a good man down!!! shatta wale is stronger than this so let’s be strong for him.”
Nana also revealed that the Ghanaian police intervened after the shooting while the gunmen are still on the run, appreciating all who showed concern, and added that Shatta Wale is still receiving treatment.
