Gas Pipeline Bursts
A gas pipeline has reportedly bursted along Lagos/Ibadan express way after a Julius Berger Machine crashed into it.
Reports from the scene of the incident hinted that the crash happened while work was ongoing on the road construction.
In a bid to salvage the situation, men of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA were mobilised to the scene.
According to the Lagos State Acting Coordinator of NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, everything is currently under control.
Meanwhile, a gas explosion has killed one ExxonMobil staff at the Proses Area of Qua Ibeo Terminal facility in Ibeni Local government Area o Akwa- Ibom state.
Report stated that the victims of the explosion were asked to light up the gas flaring when the flare exploded. It was added that there indications that the victims of the explosion flouted safety procedures.
One of the victims have been confirmed dead while the other who was said to have secured several injuries is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
