Given the rise in the cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, the Federal Government has warned about the possibility of announcing a fresh National lockdown in the country.
The National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force, PTF on COVID-19, Sani Aliyu said the Nigerian government will be left with no option other than to impose the lockdown.
He described the rising COVID-19 infections as a source of concern for the government.
Fresh Lockdown In Nigeria
However, the coordinator warned that the only option to avoid a fresh lockdown is for Nigerians to follow the non-pharmaceutical interventions.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the PTF Chairman Boss Mustapha also expressed concern about the increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.
