A Benue state farmer allegedly rapes an 8-year-old child.
The farmer identified as Terzungwe Aende has been arrested by the Benue state police for defiling a young girl.
Ato Godwin, the Prosecution counsel, said the case was reported to the B division Gboko by the complainant on October 17.
According to the complainant, Ushahemba Aasegh , the accused raped his niece and threatened the little girl.
Also, he told her not to share his crime with anyone else or he will harm her.
Listening to these, the Magistrates’ court in the state ordered that the suspect is kept in prison.
However, the case is still undergoing investigations and the prosecution has asked the court to adjourn the case.
Magistrate Ajuma Gama listened and adjourned the case of to November 30.
She also ordered the return of the case file to the Benue Director of Public Prosecution
