Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has finally addressed the storm of marriage speculation that trailed him after traditional wedding-themed photos of him surfaced online.
The images, which quickly went viral, led many fans to believe the award-winning entertainer had secretly tied the knot. However, Falz has now clarified that the photos were not from a wedding ceremony but rather part of a creative photoshoot project.
Taking to his Instagram page to douse the frenzy, the rapper jokingly remarked that the incident may come back to haunt him when he eventually decides to settle down. “When everybody realized I wasn’t really married, people kept saying it’s a case of the boy who cried wolf. Maybe when I do get married nobody will care,” he quipped.
Falz went further to emphasize that he is not under any obligation to disclose personal milestones to the public. While underscoring his preference for privacy, he admitted that love might one day compel him to share such a significant life event.
“It is bold of you to actually assume that if I’m actually getting married, I will share it,” he added, hinting that his future wedding may or may not be public knowledge.
The revelation has since divided opinion among fans, with some applauding his right to privacy while others admitted they would still eagerly anticipate any news about his personal life.
