This video of an ex BBnaija housemate talking about her marriage and what she expects from a man prior has gone viral. Females are always making unreasonable demands that reek of entitlement, but this just seems to be an extreme generalization.
The lady identified as Lilian Afegbai was a contestant in season 3 BBnaija. She is an actress that has featured in so many standard movies, hence she must feel a certain level of accomplishment in her life.
In her interview with Toke Makinwa, she revealed that before any guy settles down he must be comfortable. She gave her definition of comfortable as having a car and a house.
The problem with this interview is not her expression of what she expects. It came in her generalization, projecting her expectation on everyone else. Reactions have spurred from her statement, most revolving around the pressure she’s putting on young adults trying to start their independent life.
What gives her the right to such entitlement is the question so many are asking. She might have spoken out of ignorance or out of awareness of her self-worth. Whatever the case be, it was just expected she refrained from overgeneralization.
