Amid continuous campaign for better governance, NGO takes Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana to International Criminal Court (ICC)
The NGO known as Make Nigeria Better Initiative(MNBI) filed this petition on November 4
Represented by a Senior Associate Of Pathfind Attorneys, Joseph Nwaegbu Esq, they addressed the petition to the ICC.
Specifically addressed to Madame Fatou Bensouda, the Prosecutor, International Criminal Court (ICC).
In this petition, Femi Falana (SAN) was accused of instigating violence and civil unrest in Nigeria.
The claimed that his adamant involvement in the EndSARS campaign has led to the loss of Nigerian lives.
MNBI describes Falana as a criminal who stands in an antagonistic position against Nigeria’s security especially the army following democracy.
The timing of the petition however is iffy as it is coming weeks after Falana shared his intent to drag Tukur Buratai to the ICC.
He revealed that in collaboration with other Barristers, they were working on compiling evidence against the Army Chief of staff, Tukur Buratai.
These evidence would lead to a trial before the International Court Of Justice.
