Nigerian music stars, Don Jazzy & Tiwa Savage were taken in by the Department of State Security (DSS) over alleged political statement.
Don Jazzy & Tiwa Savage have been cautioned against making social media comments against the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari after an invitation by the DSS.
Mavins Record label boss, Don Jazzy has used his social media page at some point to talk about this current administration.
Tiwa Savage has also been vocal on her Twitter page as she ran a campaign, ‘WeAreTired’ in reaction to a rise in cases of rape in the country. The music queen also made social media posts to draw the attention of the Buhari-led administration regime to the issue.
Don Jazzy & Tiwa Savage has since been invited to the Lagos office of the DSS where they were warned to be mindful of the kinds of post they make on social media.
Shortly after, singers and current ‘The Voice Nigeria’ coaches, Yemi Alade and Waje were invited by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Zubairu Muazu who warned them to avoid making political comments that could anger the Buhari regime.
Singers, Don Jazzy & Tiwa Savage has both toned down their activities on Twitter since the arrest.
