Mavins record label boss Michael Collins Ajereh who is popularly known as Don Jazzy laments on bride price culture and how it affects society.
Don Jazzy was particularly appalled by the way some men treat their wives and attributed it to the age-long custom and tradition of paying bride price before being allowed to marry them. Taking to his Twitter, the Don expressed his disgust with the cycle of disrespect stemming from this.

He also spoke on the idea of educating the thousand of people with this shallow mindset.
He tweeted,
“So apparently some of the men that disrespect and treat their wives like shit do so becos they paid some useless bride price. Kai how do we educate the multitude with this shallow mindset?”
