DISCO the 11 electricity distribution companies said they will align with the bill before the Nigeria House of Representatives that is proposing free two (2) months electricity supply for all Nigerians during this period of the coronavirus outbreak in the country to help mitigate the effects.
In a statement that was issued by Barr. Sunday Odutan, the Executive Director, Research & Advocacy of ANED (Association of Nigerian Electricity Distributors), and spokesperson for DISCOs, the companies, however, reaffirmed their commitment to improving service delivery to the power consumers.
He also added that;
“We are also completely aligned with the plans to ensure palliative measures, including free electricity supply to all Nigerians for two months, to make life easier, during the lockdown period. Details of implementation to come soon”.
