The Capital Punishment – death by hanging – has been issued a Danish man that goes by the name Peter Nielsen, who reportedly killed his Nigerian wife and daughter in Lagos State.
During the court proceedings at the Lagos High Court on Friday, he was sentenced to death by hanging by Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile, who saw it fit to convict Nielsen, on two counts of murder brought against him by the Lagos State Government.
The guilty Danishman who’s fifty-four-years-old, got the ropes for both offences as charges tabled against him regarded the gruesome killing of their three-year-old daughter, Petra Neilsen, and the wife who’s a singer named Zainab Neilsen, popularly known by her music fans as Alizee.
According to the Lagos State Government, Neilsen was of smothering Zainab and Petra to death at 3.45 a.m. at No. 4, Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Even though he pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of murder contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagosstate, 2015, Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile passed the sentence on Friday after an almost five-hour hearing.
Kogi-born Zainab, alias Alizee, was signed to an Asian record label Petra Entertainment and was on the course of promoting her January 2018 single, ‘Alhaji Musa’, before the tragic event that led to her death.
