Davido’s Uncle, now Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has taken the first steps in office to go after the state’s assets, stolen funds, among other belongings that are still unaccounted for since the exit of the recent past Governor, Gboyega Oyetola.
The bold steps taken by Adeleke, thus far, is to set up four investigative panels that would look into the financial activities of the previous government administration and attempt to balance the books.
On Wednesday, in Osun State, the newly Elected Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governor, through his Spokesman, Malam Olawale Rasheed, briefed the press on matters that demanded immediate consideration.
He revealed how paramount it was to assign various panels to oversee the recovery of looted state money and properties hoarded by the outgone All Progressive Congress, APC government.

Here are the names of the investigative panels to help retrieve stolen state properties:
- Staff Audit/Appointments/Promotion Review Committee chaired by Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji;
- State Assets Inventory and Recovery Committee;
- Contracts/MoU/Agreements Review Committee, chaired by Mr Niyi Owolade;
- Chieftancy Affairs Review Committee, chaired by Bunmi Jenyo.
Other mentionable actions by the newly installed Governor include reversing the state’s name to the previous identity, and abolishing the ‘State of Osun’ as it is currently known.
His government aims to review all the appointments made by the former Governor, dating from July 17, 2022, for reasons best known to him.
