Davido has cancelled his DMW Live in concert for 2020 over rise of COVID-19 in Lagos State.
The music executive made the announcement in a post on his Instagram page.
The DMW Live in Concert was scheduled to hold on the 28th of December at the Eko hotel & suite Lagos, but has now been canceled due scare of Covid-19.
According to the Afro-Pop singer, cancelling the event at this time was the best thing to do, adding that the safety and well being of his fans is more important to him.
He wrote, “Following increased and overwhelming concerns with the rise of Covid-19 cases in Lagos, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming ‘Davido Presents DMW Live In Concert’ scheduled to take place on Dec 28th.
“The health and well-being of our fans, employees and artists is of paramount importance so whilst we are disappointed, we know it is the right thing to do” he added.

Davido however stated that the DMW Live in Concert would be staged again in the nearest future as fans were looking forward to see the DMW crew which consists of artistes like Mayorkun, Dremo, Peruzzi, Liya, and so on.
In other news, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu is currently in isolation after contracting COVID-19.
