Why rape victims don’t get Justice seems to be one of the questions on the lips of many, given the high rape of rape cases in recent times.
Meanwhile, famous Nigerian socialite and Barman, Paschal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest has shared his thought about how rape victims open up about their ordeals.
In a post shared on his Instagram handle on Saturday, June 6, Cubana said it is an act of gold-digging for rape victims to wait for those who raped them to become rich and famous before speaking up.
According to him, parents need to teach their children to speak up immediately they fall victim of sexual harassment to ensure proper investigations and justice.
Why Rape Victims Don’t Get Justice
The post reads “Waiting For A Rapist To Blow Or Get Rich Before Speaking Out Or Reporting To The Right Authorities Is An Act Of Gold Digging N Dragging.
Parents We Have To Teach Our Children How To Speak Up Immediately It Helps Authorities In Proper Investigation To Get Justice Served.”
Speaking further on why rape Victims don’t get Justice, Cubana wondered why it takes some people so long to report what they went through in the hands of rapists.
He further stated that the recent calling out of rapists seems to be targeted at those who are rich and famous in the society leaving out the poor.
“Why Did It Take You So Much Time To Report What Caused You Severe Pain? To Be A Rape Victim No Be Hustle Or Pay Back.
I Wonder Why This Recent Calling Out No Dey Reach The Poor let’s Be Guided How Can You Wait For Someone Who Raped You When He/She Was Poor To Get Rich N Famous Before Calling Him/Her Out Or Reporting To The Right Authorities.”
Cubana, who is the general manager and co-director of Cubana Group opined that the chances of getting justice after a long time are low because the person has money and fame.
“The Chances Of Getting Justice Is Low Because This Person Now Has Money N Fame, You Endangered The Lives Of So Many People When You Let A Rape Case Slide Or Waste Time.”
Recently, there have been instances of many people calling out those they accused as rapists on the social media platform.
You will recall that Busola Dakolo, wife of famous Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo recently gave updates on the rape accusations she levelled against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).
According to Busola, the Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department of the Nigerian Police Force Headquarters stated they have completed investigations into the case.
She added that the force had also forwarded the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation (DPPP) for legal advice and further necessary action.
