The Senior Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, has confirmed that the President has gone into isolation in line with the COVID-19 procedures after returning from his London trip.
Shehu revealed that the President and those on his delegation would be isolated according to guidelines for international travel as reeled out by the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
According to Shehu, President Buhari and all those who accompanied him on the trip did the mandatory PCR test on Friday, August 13, and will undergo the second test days later.
President Buhari Goes Into Isolation
Because the President and some Nigerian officials reportedly contacted Nigeria’s High Commissioner officials in the UK, some of whom have tested positive for COVID-19.

You will recall that President Buhari recently visited a former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu, in London; the visit generated reactions on social media platforms.
In a television interview, the Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and publicity, Femi Adesina, said his principal did not visit the former governor to talk about the 2023 election.
Adesina said Buhari’s visit to Tinubu was only a goodwill gesture expressed, following publications about the present health condition of the former Lagos State Governor.
The Presidential aide argued that it’s too early for the President to support any aspirant, adding it’s hard to accept everything on Social Media over Tinubu’s health.
