The Delta State governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has extended the lockdown order in the state for another 14 days in order to help contain the spread of the novel coronavirus in the state.
The governor made this known in a meeting held at the government house in Asaba on Tuesday.
His lockdown extension comes just hours after the president of Nigeria had announced an extension of 14 days in Lagos, Ogun and the FCT.
There are presently 343 reported cases in the country, with Delta state reporting 3 cases to date.
