Following the recommendation by the Kaduna State COVID-19 Task Force, the Mallam Nasir El-Rufai-led government has lifted the ban on worship centres in the state.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to governor El-Rufai on Media, Muyiwa Adekeye, worshipers were enjoined to comply with health protocols which include wearing of facemasks, observing physical distancing, practising respiratory hygiene, regular hand washing among others.
According to Adekeye, worshippers in the state can attend Sunday services and Jumaat prayers.
Kaduna Lifts Ban On Worship Centres
Meanwhile, citizens were advised to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols as offices, businesses, markets, and places of worship open.
However, there are warnings that worship centres that failed to comply with the guidelines would be closed in the interest of the people of the state.
You will recall that the Kaduna state government had imposed restrictions on all forms of congregational worship on March 26, 2020, to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 in the state.
