Amid proper scrutineering at the airports, domestic flight operations have resumed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Operations also resumed at the Murtala Muhammed Domestic Terminal, Lagos on Wednesday 8th July 2020.
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN posted photos of how passengers were screened before they were allowed to board the aeroplanes to ensure that only those who are Coronavirus free embark on the journey.
According to the FAAN, the move is to ensure that infected passengers were not allowed to infect other travellers thereby spreading the virus.
Flight Operations Resume In Nigeria
Earlier, the airport authority had reminded passengers who will be travelling through domestic flights to adhere strictly to COVID-19 Flight resumption protocols.
It was gathered that the domestic Terminals of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos was decontaminated by Environment Department of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria ahead of domestic flights resumption.
Also, the domestic Terminals of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport were decontaminated before the flight resumed.
FAAN had also informed intending passengers to get to the airports at least three hours before their flight time is due as they were also asked to ensure they wear their face masks.
Moreover, they were informed that their luggage and footwear would be disinfected before they board the plane.
In addition, they were asked to wash their hands before entering the terminal building.
