Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari has revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic is a sign that God is not happy with the World.
Mrs Buhari, who said this at the national mosque during a public lecture to mark Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary urged Nigerians to pray for peace, progress and sustainable development.
According to her, the world is no longer the same as a result of the pandemic and the pandemic is a sign that almighty God is not happy with the world.
Also, she appealed to Nigerians to keep supporting President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to ensure better welfare. She noted that the president needs the support and cooperation of all Nigerians, including his appointees, to go in line with his change mantra.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has announced that the country recorded 136 new cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday, September 26, 2020.
The agency via its Twitter handle said Lagos recorded 41 new cases, Ogun recorded 27, Rivers-19, Abia-10, Oyo-6, Plateau-6, Bauchi-5 and Ondo-5.
Also, Ekiti recorded 4 new cases, Kaduna-4, Edo-3, Ebonyi-2, Bayelsa-1, Delta-1, Osun-1 while Yobe recorded 1 new case hence bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 58,198 while 49,722 persons have been discharged with 1,106 deaths recorded so far.
