The Commissioner for Health of Lagos State, Akin Abayomi, has announced on Tuesday that a 56-year-old Nigerian man who recently returned from the United States has died of Coronavirus related complications.
According to the commissioner, this brings the total number of Coronavirus related deaths in Lagos to 6.
Abayomi, however, urged Lagos residents to remain alert across communities and comply with instructions designed to prevent the spread of Coronavirus pestilence.
He also urged residents to call 08000CORONA for any Coronavirus related issues.
However, as of the 13th of April 2020, Lagos has recorded 192 cases of coronavirus; with active cases at 120.
61 have recovered and discharged, 2 evacuated; 3 transferred and 6 deaths recorded in Lagos.
