Coronavirus
The country is facing trying times as the confirmed cases of the Coronavirus increases. Due to this, the President, Muhammad Buhari, has ordered a compulsory 24-hours lockdown of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Lagos, and Ogun states for at least 14 days.
This development has met with varying opinions, but the very obvious one is the lack of proper planning for Nigerians in this 14-days lockdown period.
There are three categories of people who fall under the lockdown; we have the people in isolation, the ones in quarantine, and the ones in total lockdown.
Isolation
The people you find in the isolation group are your Abuja big boys, Lagos Hotshots, and Ogun wealthy. These groups of persons are indoors living their best lives as if they were taking a vacation. The only problem they might be facing is their usual hangout spots, which they will miss dearly.
Quarantine
The second group is the ones in quarantine. These are the people who survive through the day and barely make ends meet, living from hand to mouth.
They are hoping for government intervention and can’t wait for the 14 days to be over so they can go back to getting what to eat. Some in this category would start feeling it by the end of the first week.
Lockdown
The last group is the ones that are in total lockdown. These are the ones that are really in for it and are suffering the most, they are not only broke and at home, but they also are living with a troublesome partner.
Imagine spending the next 14 days looking at somebody’s face with only anger in your mind. This is what this last group face. Hopefully, you’re not part of this group.
In essence, if you are staying at home with money, you are in isolation.
If you are staying at home, broke, you have been quarantined.
But if you are staying at home, broke and with a troublesome wife/husband, you are in TOTAL LOCKDOWN.
Which of these categories do you belong to?
