The European Union EU has awarded the Federal Government of Nigeria a grant of €50 million as their way of supporting the current fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
In a tweet, Bashir Ahmed, New Media Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, revealed that the head of EU delegation, Ambassador Ketil Karlsan made the announcement today while meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in the State House Abuja.
According to Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering, there have been 343 confirmed coronavirus cases and 10 deaths in Nigeria, while 91 people in the country have recovered after contracting the Coronavirus.
The total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases worldwide at the above time stood at 2,019,320, while 119,483 people have died from Coronavirus and 448,665 have recovered from the disease.
