The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADSN) has warned Muslims against engaging in congregational worship and other activities that violate the social distancing order of the government.
The Nation reported that The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADSN) President Abdul-Rafiu Sanni, in a Ramadan message to Muslims, stating it was a difficult time for all and preventive measures must be adhered to by Muslims.
“In this wise, you will agree with me that despite our challenges in our health sector, indeed Allah has been merciful to us in this part of the world and the minimum requirement of us is to adhere to stipulated guidelines of physical distancing, use of face masks, regular hand-washing and use of sanitisers,” he said.
Sanni also disclosed that it was compulsory for Muslims to observe their fasting and prayers at homes to help in containing the spread of Coronavirus.
He added that although congregational prayers were more rewarding during Ramadan but the global health challenge posed by Coronavirus needed that everyone adhered to social distancing.
