Famous Nigerian rib cracker and actor, Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY has reacted to the sit-at-home order announced by the government to stop the further spread of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
In a post on his Twitter handle, the comedian noted that Hunger virus would not allow the poor to stay at home despite the government’s directive.
He further stated that the best way to control the spread of the virus is for the rich to help the vulnerable by providing food for them.
Comedian AY Reacts To Lockdown Order

The tweet reads, “All we keep hearing daily is “STAY AT HOME”.The rich want the poor to stay home to avoid the spread of Corvid19, but HUNGER VIRUS won’t allow the poor to stay home.
We can only control d spread of d virus when the rich help the poor by providing enough food to stay at home.
Though the federal government said, it had provided palliatives to the people considered as the poorest of the poor in the country. Still, many people have accused the government of not doing enough.
Also, some people have condemned the loopholes in the distribution of the palliatives.
Many groups and individuals consider the sit-at-home order as such that has brought untold hardship to the vulnerable Nigerians.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed that 108 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country.
According to NCDC, 78 cases were reported in Lagos, 14 in FCT, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Gombe, 3 Borno, 2 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kwara, 1 in Plateau as at 11:30 pm 23rd April bringing the total of confirmed cases to 981 with 31 deaths.
