Ali Baba Warns Aliko Dangote Over Arsenal FC
Popular Nigerian comedian, Ali Baba has advised billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote against buying Football club, Arsenal after he indicated an interest.
The veteran comedian made this known in an interview with Punch.
According to him, Aliko Dangote, who is Africa’s richest man can afford to buy Arsenal FC especially with his refinery even though it is more of a commercial move, he would advised him not consider the London club for now.
Recall that Aliko Dangote and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in recent times had indicated an interest in buying stakes in the London club.
Reacting to the moves by the two Nigerians to buy the club, Ali Baba said, “Yes, Dangote can afford to buy Arsenal or any other club after his refinery project. I think it is a commercial move, not to develop our (local) sport.
“I like the idea of Aliko buying the gunners. But if he buys these kindergarten players, he won’t make his money. I hope that he buys Arsenal, but the influence of an owner is limited. The coach makes the major decisions that help the club to grow.” he added.
He, however, said the richest African man could buy Arsenal when the club have “men” and are in better shape.
