A Lagos branch of an elite school, Chrisland Schools, have been accused of concealing a rape incident of a 10-year-old girl that happened on their watch.
The school was in November 2016 involved in a defilement case, when one Adegboyega Adenekan, a 47-year-old supervisor at Chrisland School, Victoria Garden City, Lagos, was sentenced to 60 years in jail in 2019 for defiling a 2-year-old.
In a fresh scandal, a Nigerian Music Artist manager, Ubi Franklin, took to his Twitter page on Sunday to share the shocking news.
The entrepreneur revealed that he received the news of a friend whose 10-year-old daughter was raped in school by a fellow student and concealed by the school.
Chrisland Schools Conceals Rape Incident
Franklin disclosed that the parent only knew about the 1-month-old incident after a parent showed them the now circulated video of their daughter.
“All these were revealed to the parents on the 13th April 2022, last Wednesday when the video was shown to them,” another source disclosed.
Franklin tweeted, “Just got off the phone with a friend of mine His 10-year-old daughter was selected to represent her school at the World School Games in Dubai. His daughter was r**ped by fellow students, video tapped and posted on Instagram and the school concealed it for a month.
“He found out on his own when another parent called his wife and showed his wife the video of his 10-year-old daughter being circulated on Instagram.
“I have spent the last 1 hour listening to confessional statements by some teachers and I am begging this should rather be a dream.”
In an updated post, Ubi Franklin revealed that in an effort to hide the deed, Chrisland Schools requested that the girl be taken for a COVID test but instead took her for a pregnancy test.
“UPDATE ON MY PREVIOUS POST. This school took the girl from her parents that they wanted to conduct a Covid test and the school rather took the girl for a pregnancy test,” Franklin added.
Another close source to the family revealed that Chrisland expelled the boys, said to be between the ages of 12 and 15 years and took the 10yr old girl for a pregnancy test without the parents’ consent.
“We don’t know that there was an actual penetration we can however confirm that there were 4-5 boys on more in the video just watching including the Lil rascal that recorded. And the child was seen engaging in some sexual acts (riding) naked,” the source disclosed.
The source also revealed that the girl was lured to the boys’ room after they took her charger and asked her to come to collect it.
“According to her mum, the girl said when she got there, they told her to pick up her charger from the bathroom and the gave her something to drink and they started on her,” the source disclosed.
