Nigerian music superstar, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burnaboy has added to his list of awards the ‘Best International Artiste’ of the year at the Ghana music awards hosted by Vodafone.
Burnaboy who was nominated for the prestigious Grammy Award in 2019 but lost out to Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo has now won the Vodafone Ghana Music ‘Best International Artist‘ of the second year consecutively.
The self-acclaimed ‘African Giant‘ beat compatriots, Davido, Teni, Rudeboy, as well other African artists, Big Trill and Sho Madjozi to win the award.
This year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was held in three days (28th to 30th of August) and has notable winners such as Sarkodie, Rudeboy who both won the ‘Best International Collaboration‘ of the year for the song ‘Lucky‘.
Other winners of the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for 2020 include MOG Music, Dope Nation, Celestine Donkoe, and several others.
Burnaboy, who recently released a record-breaking ‘Twice As Tall‘ album have earlier in the year won the ‘Best International Act‘ at the BET awards.
