Nigerian music star and Grammy-winning artiste, Burna boy makes history as a Nigerian artiste and for the entire continent after his latest music feat.
Burna Boy Makes History Again
The artiste beat his colleagues to be the first artiste to hit 100 million streams on the music streaming app, Boomplay. The official tweet from Boomplay read,
“Grammy award-winning @burnaboy has officially hit 100 million total streams on Boomplay! He becomes the first artiste to achieve this feat; as the most streamed artiste on”
According to research, Burna is closely followed by Fireboy ad Olamide respectively, leaving the likes of Davido and Wizkid in lower positions.
Burna Boy’s ‘African Giant’ album has garnered an estimate of 29 million streams, while the Grammy-winning album ‘Twice as Tall’ has gotten approximately 45 million streams since its release in August. The album also made a record of getting 1 million streams within the first 24 hours of its release.
A cumulation of all these numbers from all his songs has placed Burna Boy at the number one spot for streams on the streaming app.
