Fans unhappy as Burna Boy collaborates with Australian star
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu professionally known as Burna Boy collaborates with an award winning Australian singer, Sia.
Sia (born Sia Kate Isobelle Furler) is the artiste behind the record breaking tune, ‘Chandalier’ and hopefully will be bringing that same energy to the new collaboration with the self-acclaimed African giant.
From the announcement made on Burna’s social media pages, he will be featured on her song, ‘Hey Boy’ which was originally released in November 2020 and this remix is set to be released on Thursday, the 14th of January. He tweeted,
“HEY BOY” @Sia featuring Myself dropping Thursday. Definitely One of my Favourites”
As expected fans and foes of the artiste had their two piece to give regarding the scheduled release . Some were in support of the artiste’s international feature while others came trolling, dragging his other music colleagues into the fight.
Another point of concern from his fans was the fact that the cover art of the song showed an animation of Sia and an animal-like figure as Burna Boy.
Some of his fans seemed uncomfortable with the fact that his was depicted as an animal and even worse an animal that is not the usual gorilla. Here are some reactions to the cover act;
