President Muhammadu Buhari has cancelled his scheduled medical checkup visit to London, United Kingdom, UK, the moment he concluded the United Nations Environmental Programme, UNEP in Nairobi, Kenya.
The President left Kenya on Friday back to Abuja, according to Bashir Ahmad, one of the presidential aide, after taking part in the 50th UNEP meeting via his Twitter handle.
Recall that everyevery.ng reported that the President would be traveling for his regular medical trip, with a two-week duration period.
In an earlier statement, issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, disclosed that Nigerian leader, on Tuesday would be in the United Kingdom, UK, for his medical checkup, but is bound to later attend a UnitedNations, UN programme in Kenya.
Adesina hinted that the President will depart Abuja to participate in the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Environmental Programme, UN-EP@50, scheduled for 3rd – 4th March, 2022, sequel to an invitation extended to him by his Kenyan counterpart, Uhuru Kenyatta.
“From Kenya, the President will proceed to London for routine medical checks that will last for a maximum of two weeks”, Adesina had said in the statement.
