The AMVCA award holds annually, it recognises special milestones in television and film and is presented by Multichoice. Yemi getting recognized here was such a big win for him. The Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award is usually a themed event hosting different personalities from all over Africa.
In classifying how well a TV star present was dressed one would have to consider to what extent they kept to the theme and still bodied the outfit.
Biggie’s children are most times invited to these events and they always stir massive reactions with their fashion choices. Most time they even steal the spotlight from those who star in non-reality TV shows and movies.
This year we have the amalgam of Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Titans stars to judge from. The people that appear on this list showed up to show off and left their names on the tongues of fans.
We would be starting with the males of the Big Brother franchise and topping the list is;
YemiCregx, he is not just recognised as our chosen winner for the male but he was also recognised and awarded at the event. He appeared in a stunning red outfit.
Nothing speaks Yoruba demon more than how he appeared, if anyone doubted how gorgeous Yemi is then his appearance at the event was a sure way to eliminate that. He proved again why he was the man of the house during his stay on the Big Brother Titans.
Juicy Jay comes second on this list because he did well maintaining a gorgeous appearance while still representing and disseminating his culture with his attire.
His attire was completely modelled after the Southern African clothing style. It was a piece of clothing that left a great part of his chest bare. The attired gave him an aura that screamed male alpha and this was just perfect for the event.
Neo, unlike the two mentioned earlier, he stars in Big Brother Naija, being from a minority region one would have expected he would appropriate another cultural garb to suit the theme of the event.
This was not the case, he was fully adorned in the attire of the Urhobo people where he hails from. Nothing could have prepared fans for how gorgeous his fit was. His appearance makes for the quintessential chief amongst the Urhobo people and he pulled it off seamlessly.
Prince has never failed to give us a show with his outfit and he did not disappoint on this occasion. His white native was such a perfect complement to this complexion, highlighting his model-like physique and aiding the regality of his poise.
He keeps giving us reason to appreciate his fashion sense and his ability to pull off simplicity and still appear magnificent.
Elozonam brought simplicity to the event and made it evident that “less could be more”. His traditional look was a show stopper, especially with its ability to achieve this despite its simplicity.
Events like this always pose an opportunity for females to be flamboyant, sometimes they mix the essence while trying to showcase a unique fashion sense. In the case of this event, most of them surprisingly kept to the theme. While we had so many females dressed splendidly the ones below made the list because of how exceptional they looked at the event.
Venita, just like Yemicregx was awarded at the event for being the best-dressed female. She wore an all-pink attire and no other dress would have suited her flawless fair skin better than this, her dress was enough to confer on her the title of princess.
An African fairytale princess was the look she served at the award event. The confidence it must have taken to go mono-coloured especially with such a non-traditional colour and still rock it effortlessly is the reason why she appears first on this list.
Daniella comes second on the list because of how delightful her entirety was. The black beauty gave credence to the statement, “Black is gold”.
It is no news that Daniella is gorgeous with a great charisma to match and this earned her the name, “diamond of the season” during the season 7 show, despite being armed with this knowledge, it was still hard to not be taken aback by how she pulled off the traditional attire.
Chomzy appears third on the list because she came stunning as an Edo princess. Beads and red wrappers adorn her. The Edo attire is one that naturally confers on whoever is wearing it a royal status and this was the exact aura needed for the event.
Olivia has never taken fashion for granted even while in the house, she could have been awarded as best dressed amongst the BBTitans girls. It was expected that she would show up at her best and she did not disappoint. While her traditional dress was simple it still felt classy.
Liquorose, While she looked stunning, at first glance her attire might seem a bit too much and confusing, but then a closer inspection and one realizes she went for a WaZoBia look. She tried to represent all the major ethnicities in Nigeria.
Her attire was a potpourri of Hausa headgear, Igbo beads and Yoruba wear. The thoughtfulness of her attire adds more depth to her look and elevates her entirety to a Nigerian artwork.
