The BBNaija 2020 housemates have no idea what Biggie has planned for them during diary sessions today.
The last eviction was a shocker to BBNaija season 5 housemates and viewers alike, understandably so as the eviction process have been changed from being housemates-centric to being viewer-centric but the housemates do not have the slightest clue that the norm of diary sessions is about to be changed.
For the past 4 weeks in the BBNaija house, we have been following the new eviction method of having the housemates with the least votes go through final nominations from their fellow housemates to decide who stays and who leaves.
This method got a mixed reaction from the viewers, a large number complaining that this season’s voting process was not favourable to the viewers since the housemates had the last say. Recall that in the second week, Lilo and Ka3na left the house despite not being the contestants with the least votes. Same applies to Kaisha who left in the 4th week after being the one with the highest votes among the least four. This did not sit well with the voters with some of them promising to boycott the show.
Biggie probably listened as, during the last eviction, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu did not call out the least four as usual but just went ahead to evict the three housemates with the least votes which were Tolanibaj, Wathoni and Brighto
At the end of the eviction show, he announced to the viewers that there would be a new voting process where the housemates will nominate the housemates they’ll like to see leave the Lockdown house during their diary session on Monday. The housemates don’t know that yet and will walk into the diary room thinking it will be business as usual.
Although new to this season, this eviction process is not a new one as that is how previous seasons had carried out their nominations and evictions.
With just eleven housemates left in the house, the competition is intense and hopefully they housemates will nominate with their heads and not their hearts as they have proven to do over the past four weeks.
Do you think there is a need switching the eviction process? Will this change anything seeing that it is still the housemates’ least favorite that will be up for eviction.
