In Bauchi State, a tragic incident that occurred on two separate occasions has claimed the lives of no fewer than Twenty travellers.
It was gathered that the first accident that occurred claimed sixteen lives, with traces of their corpses that show that all the deceased were burnt beyond recognition.
The Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Bauchi State, Yusuf Abdullahi, who confirmed the crashes to journalists, said the first crash happened at about 7.00 pm.
The report revealed that a Toyota Hummer vehicle plying the road in the state suddenly smashed a trailer at Bambal Village, leaving the passengers lifeless and no other confirmation that any other sustained various degrees of injuries.
Bambal village, where the accident happened, is along the Kano-Jama’are highway in Bauch State, and since the incident, the authorities have been evacuating bodies from the scene.
Thirty minutes later, four persons died, and seven others sustained injuries in another road crash at Duhuwar Kura village, along Azare-Zaki road.
