Nigerian popular comedian and actor, Ayo Makun better known as AY Comedian has released the trailer to his upcoming movie, Almajiri.
The ‘Merry Men’ producer took to his official Instagram page to announce the Nollywood movie on Wednesday, 25th of February, 2021.
According to AY Comedian, the movie is based on true life experiences in the northern part of Nigeria.
The movie ‘Almajiri’ is designed to tell a very common story of children who are subjected to the high level of poverty faced by most families living in that region.
These children often wander the streets begging for food, clothes, and other necessities thus making them vulnerable to chronic ill-health, sexual and physical abuse, human trafficking, slavery, drugs etc.
‘Almajiri‘ features stars such as Kanayo O. Kanayo, Segun Arinze, Annie Idibia-Macaulay, Alexx Ekubo, Broda Shaggi, and so on.
Fans of the multi-talented comedian has since been anticipating the official release of the movie.
AY Comedian is an actor and producer in Nollywood movies such as ‘A Trip to Jamaica’, ’30 Days in Atlanta’, ‘Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demon‘, and ‘Merry Men 2.
