The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared a “comprehensive and total” strike.
The strike was declared at a press conference on Monday, led by the President of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke.
He declared that the strike will commence on Monday, February 14, 2022, and would last for an initial period of four weeks.
The Members of the National Executive Council of the union had held several meetings since Saturday 12th February 2022 titled ‘NEC for NEC’ at the University of Lagos.
The union had expressed displeasure over the failure of the Federal Government to fulfil some of its agreements made since 2009.
