The ruling All Progressive Congress, APC has had its third chairman surfaced in less than a day after the court of appeal upheld the suspension of Comrade Adams Oshiomole.
The APC South-South Vice-Chairman, Prince Hilliard Eta has taken over from the chairman that was approved by the party’s national working committee, Abiola Ajimobi who is presently ill from coronavirus.
The appeal court meanwhile had declared Chief Victor Giadom as the acting APC national chairman after its ruling against Oshiomole.
Hilliard Eta has however said that Chief Victor Giadom is not in the party’s national working committee, as he had resigned earlier in order to contest as the deputy governor of Rivers State. His seat as the deputy national secretary has been declared vacant.
Chief Victor Giadom has however already given a speech at the APC headquarters in Abuja, declaring the APC Edo state governorship primaries void, saying the cancellation of Obaseki has been nullified.
The confusion in the ruling party continues as the Edo state governorship election draws near.
