The All Progressives Congress, APC Nomination Form has been acquired by the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, after expressing interest to join the 2023 General Election.
This happened yesterday in Abuja, as the Education Minister reportedly became the first of many aspirants to obtain copies of the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms.
As expected, the Minister didn’t directly purchase the form but it was obtained for him by a group of supporters with the mindset that he’s the best candidate for the Presidential Office.
As stated in article 84(12) of the recently signed Electoral Act 2022, Buhari’s ministers vying for Electoral offices are required to resign from their current positions before the APC primary elections holding from May 30 to June 1, 2022.
Nwajiuba is not the only minister on the list as Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, and other Presidential aides are currently vying for various offices at federal and state levels.
On this ambition, it’s not just Amaechi, other politicians in President Muhammadu Buhari government are contesting, politicians that have also shown interest to contest for the 2023 presidential election and are still occupying top political positions.
