The presidency has reacted to allegations of N100 billion offer to herdsmen as parts of its efforts to address insecurity.
Reacting, the Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad accused famous Nigerian journalist, Dele Momodu of misleading his followers.
Bashir doubted if Momodu read the story before sharing adding that the President Buhari-led administration has never offered money to any criminal group to stop their atrocities.
N100 Billion Offer To Herdsmen
Earlier, Roots TV had reported that representatives of the federal government met with the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association and offered them N100 billion.
According to the report, the Nigerian government was represented by the former interior minister, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau.

Dambazau reportedly claimed that the move was to address the issue of insecurity as the prescribed by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Meanwhile, the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and publicity, Garba Shehu said the information contained in the video making the rounds is an absolute falsehood.
According to the presidential aide, the video first made the rounds two years ago.
