A few days after the Local council elections in Ondo state, the State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has sworn in the newly elected Local government chairman and councillors.
During the swearing in ceremony in Akure, the ondo state capital, Akeredolu stated that politics is not a do or die affair.
Also in a tweet, the governor posted photos of the newly elected chairmen during the swearing in ceremony held on Monday, August 24.
“Today I swore in the newly elected LG chairmen and counsellors from the just concluded #OndoDecides Local Government Election. I needed to make it abundantly clear that politics is not a do or die affair, those in the opposition that won MUST be announced.

In the tweet, the governor wished the new local council bosses a fruitful tenure as they embark on administering in what he described as the most important positions.
“I wish all our newly elected representatives a fruitful tenure as they embark on administrating in what I believe are the most important positions within government, as they are the first point of contact with the people.”
You will recall that the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission, ODIEC had on Sunday announced that the All Progressives Congress, APC recorded a landslide victory during the Saturday, August 22 local government elections.
