The Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has on Friday reacted to the fire outbreak at the Headquarter of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Akure, the state capital.
During a visit to the office, the governor, who described the incident as unfortunate and shocking charged the commission to unravel the cause of the fire incident.
While commending the determination of the electoral body to still conduct the October 10 governorship elections despite the fire outbreak, Akeredolu assured that the state government would be ready to help the commission in any area.
He noted that the people of the state are concerned and are with the commission adding that his government will assist the INEC in a way that will not be termed as being partisan.
